INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

I offer individual therapy to adults, children and adolescents, ages 6 and up. Our work together will begin with a 50 minute intake assessment, followed by weekly or biweekly 50 minute sessions. The intake appointment consists of a "biopsychosocial assessment". This is an important step in the treatment process where we look collectively at your biological, psychological, and social history to better understand how various factors have contributed to current circumstances. It's important to look at the 'whole' person-not just within one context! We will collaboratively create goals based on the concerns you're coming into therapy with and based on how you'd like to see growth in those areas.

COUPLES THERAPY

Whether you're dating, engaged, married, couples therapy can be a hard but important step to take for the health of the relationship! I have experience working with couples with tough patterns of criticism and defensiveness, infidelity, differences in parenting styles and severe issues with communication. Couples therapy begins with a 50 minute intake assessment in which we will take a brief look at both individuals along with the collective history of the relationship. Following the intake will be weekly or biweekly 50 minute sessions to work towards agreed upon goals. Historical information about not only the relationship but both individuals is incredibly important. Together we'll look at historical information and it's impact on the relationship; for example, families of origin, communication styles, history of substance use in the family, personal and familial mental health history, to name a few. All of these things and more can have an impact on how we communicate within our relationships and how we view ourselves and our partners in the relationship.

FAMILY THERAPY

Whether you're struggling with a parent-child dynamic, sibling relationship or all family members collectively, it can be beneficial to navigate these ruptures in relationship within the context of family therapy. In the first session we'll take a look at family dynamic as a whole, along with any relevant individual information that may be contributing to collective concerns. We'll look at communication styles, history of emotional cut-off within the family history, enmeshment, and patterns of codependency to name a few.
